Agreed. I utilize TA to look for "trends" and have often found that valuable. I've gotten reasonably competent at filtering out the noise on TA. I thnk it's naive to assume there is no value in TA.

I’ve said that many times. TA has plenty of value if you know how to parse the reviews. I use it as often as FT when reviewing hotels and restaurants of interest. But there are threads elsewhere for discussing TA.

Let’s get back to discussing how there are many good to very good but no truly stand-out amazing hotels in London.

Actually, I'm 57.314% sure that several have said that at some point in this forum (not necessarily this thread though)

But as bhrubin implied, probably no need to go further down this rabbit hole. My comment wasn't intended to start a debate, merely an observation.

The Connaught has opened a new suite - The Mews: https://www.the-connaught.co.uk/room...ites/the-mews/

I was there yesterday so went to take a look: absolutely stunning. Hopefully a sign of things to come as they - one day - refurbish the hotel. I look forward to trying it out in the near future.

I'm 100% sure that I'm 87% confident that I saw Gwyneth Paltrow was just in this suite a couple weeks ago...saw it on instagram.

This thread has been going on for 5+ years and has gotten rather unwieldy. So I am going to close this one and refer posters to the newer consolidated thread, started in April, 2018. That one is

London Hotel Recommendations (newer consolidated thread)
