I've traveled a lot and that's really only been the case in Osaka.

And by the way, StR Florence is a joke. I'll happily pay twice the price to stay somewhere else (which I did, at the Four Seasons).
I’m not at all bitter. Just trying to offer some important perspective. I don’t think hyperbole is as helpful. Cheers!

About to kick May off with The Grand Hotel in Stockholm, waiting in LHR for my onward connection to ARN. I've requested the room I prefer there, so we'll see if they honor my request! Just wrapped up a stay at the Hotel Saint Louis in Saint Louis and I would say it was pleasant but not luxury.

Ett Hem in Stockholm is truly incomparable. One of the best hotels in the world. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in that city.

Club level at the IC. Good hard product, good service and good location. I don’t really eat in a hotel while in Japan though so that part is not important to me. Have been to the StR in Osaka before but the location just doesn’t work for me. Not much late night drinking/dining in the area and not convenient to train or subway hubs

Richard's river camp...
You should be aware that this hotel is not favored in this forum ever since the alleged rape of a guest by a staffer (and lack of followup by hotel and chain management).

Live @ Six Senses Zil Pasyon. (Seychelles islands)

Done :
Japan in January. mostly visit the northern part of Japan, Sapporo Hakodate and back Tokyo.
Stayed at Mercure Sapporo, Four Points Hakodate, and The Prince Gallery in Tokyo.
Obviously Mercure and Four points is unworthy to be called luxury, but then again we spent most of the time wandering around the city in blizzard
The Prince Gallery however, provide an enjoyable stay as always.

Bali in March - St Regis Bali. Awesome stay and definitely looking to return.
(only live around 1.5 hours flight from Bali so can be done in a short notice)

All set :
Australia in Jun .... Melbourne and Sydney (for the Vivid Sydney) then back Melbourne for another 2 weeks or so
Stay : Sheraton Melbourne ... another unworthy luxury tag same reason .. will be busy visiting old friends around the clock
Westin Sydney - Interesting building and also last chance to try before their eventual deflag to Fullerton.

Singapore trips .... apparently I will be doing plenty of this.
While most of the stays will be St Regis Sg due to their location close to where I need to be, I will try Kempinski Capitol Hotel on Friday.
Furthermore, I hope can try Raffles once they reopen in August and also try Sofitel Tanjong Pagar for the location

Planning stage
FS Jimbaran Bali - Sometimes in July or August

August - Will need to go Singapore again and also my family might want to go Hong Kong and Xiamen (China) to visit family members there.
Hopefully can sneak few nights to try The Ritz Carlton HK

September - looking to try Amanjiwo if I manage to sneak couple of days off from office.

October November - no plan yet ...

December - Will definitely have an end of year party with friends in Bali.
Planning to fly to Europe ... still considering where to go ... either Germany or or Switzerland or Austria and Italy
Maybe if I could stretching the time abit, might as well visit all of them in 1 go.
Taking train from Germany to Italy and taking stopovers in various cities
The only worry is I end up having too little time to explore all of them properly

Would love to visit Venice and try both Gritti Palace and Hotel Danieli.
Hopefully winter will be less crowded there
