Both of your flights will depart from T2.
You'll clear EU border in FRA.
I've never been in T2, but 1:45h sounds like a reasonable connection time. AB has six daily flights FRA-TXL, so even if your flight is late they will rebook you onto the later one.

Thanks Klausa. Quick question - Do i need to leave T2 and come back in again to get the boarding pass for the TXL flight. or is there a way to transit internally?

Advice need for FRA connection (DOH - FRA - TXL)
Hello I am travelling Schengen visa holder travelling next month on the Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Frankfurt. This arrives at 6:45Am. I have a connecting Air Berlin flight from Frankfurt to Berlin (TXL) at 8:25Am.

Questions:
- Please advise on terminal information for Qatar Airways and AirBerlin.
- Do I have to undergo passport control at FRA or TXL
- Do i have enough time to transit and make my connecting flight.
2. You go through passport control in FRA. You also go through security check.
3. You should make the connection as long as your incoming flight is not very late but I'm afraid I have no experience of flying from T2 in FRA.

Although this thread is about connecting in FRA between Lufthansa and Star Alliance airlines, I have done some detective work.
1. Qatar Airways flights from DOH arrive at B gates in Terminal 1. Air Berlin flights depart from D gates in Terminal 2. The two terminals are linked by the Skyline shuttle. Just follow the signs for D gates.
2. You go through passport control in FRA. You also go through security check.

Correct but unknown to me was the delay. Fortunately, assuming no delay, the bus took us to A as noted. I recall stepping off the bus at 930 ish - Cleared security and made my way to Z58 at a gait and arrived there at 945 with everyone else having boarded already. Sat down and waited and waited. Delay due to -2C requiring de icing and washroom issue that delayed flight. Allowed me to chat with my fellow upper deck economy flight mates on the A380. Terminal C13 to Z58 would have been much more challenging. By the way we were delayed 40 minutes in Tel Aviv - told fog in Frankfurt - make sense? Thanks for the contributions from all.

SQ 25 from JFK (today it was B46) -> A36
2 hour connection. Do you guys think the tunnel is the fastest?
Security should be only at A gates, right?
Any lounge around A36? Thanks!

FRA-ARN & HAM-FRA connections
I will be flying LH from JFK to ARN connecting through FRA and returning from HAM through FRA to EWR. My connection time in FRA to ARN will be an hour and ten minutes and returning from HAM the connection time will also be an hour an ten minutes. Are these realistic connection times?
I am more concerned about the connection to ARN since I will need to clear immigration and customs in FRA. Also, will I be able to check my luggage through to ARN or will I have to re-check it in FRA?
Concerning the connection times, if it matters, I am flying FC on both transatlantic flights and J on the intra-Europe flights.
Any advice and guide will be much appreciated. Thanks!

A departure gates can vary from day to day but the best lounge for A36 will be the Business Lounge above gate A26.

Hi,
It's been a long while since I connected through Frankfurt (prefer Munich etc.). Now I have a connection to make.
Departing 5/12 arriving 5/13
EWR 18:00 to FRA 7:30am
FRA 09:10 to HAJ 10:00
Both are Terminal 1 but that could still be far far away. Both are LH flights on the same ticket. I fly business and have a german passport. Not sure if I check a bag or not.
As the MCT is probably around 1h I should have no problems. But how much buffer do I have? Is there a lounge "on the way"?
Thanks,
Marc

On the way back you may be picked up by a limo if the flight from HAM arrives at a remote stand though this is not common.
Both connections are doable as long as the incoming flight is on time. What you will miss is the chance to 'enjoy' the First Class Lounge or the First Class Terminal, unless you miss your connection and are put on the next available flight.

You can check your luggage to the final destination in each direction. 1h10m from the US to a Schengen flight is a little tight. You only clear passport control in FRA and customs in ARN. There is no special arrival service for First Class passengers in FRA, other than the use of the First Class Lounge (or First Class Terminal) if you have the time and a separate bus to the terminal in case of a remote stand arrival.

Most LH flights from the US arrive at a Z gate but LH403 from EWR arrived at a B gate yesterday, a Z gate today and tomorrow (expected) , and is expected at a C gate the day after! If you arrive at a Z gate it will be a matter of going down one level and through passport control. If you arrive at a B or C gate it might be quicker to go landside through passport control and clear security back into A. It could be quite a long trek from C to A.

Unless your incoming flight is very late 1h40m is comfortable for this connection. If you miss the connection by any chance there is another flight to HAJ at 10:00.
