What about CDG? Or is it not included b/c they have already obtained it? In France (see www.lufthansa.fr) LH is already advertising the CDG-MXP nonstop with 4 daily flights starting 2 Feb 2009.

The 6th A319 destined for EN is now also stored at HAM: D-AKNK. Contrary to the other 5 A319s, D-AKNK has never been operated by Eurowings IIRC. Before the transfer to Germanwings a couple of years ago, this A319 was operated by US.

Yep, this is a returned A319 that US couldn't afford anymore: http://www.airfleets.net/ficheapp/plane-a319-1077.htm

Interesting is they are in it for the long term even hiring flight crew: http://www.pprune.org/terms-endearme...-dolomiti.html

The livery will be "Lufthansa Italia", "Operated by Air Dolomiti".

Actually there's the "operated by Germanwings" sticker and "Italia" is hidden.

LH launches new Lufthansa Italia brand

Lufthansa is to found its own Italian airline under the new brand early next year and apply for an Italian Air Operator Certificate (AOC).

Here's the press release:

Some more info here, where can be seen that the Italia letters are in silver:

Lufthansa Italia

Interesting:

http://konzern.lufthansa.com/en/html...lia/index.html

I am a bit surprised about the livery of these aircrafts. It appears to be mainline, however under Italian license and with a regional touch:

All destinations will be served by Airbus A319 jets, seating 138 passengers in Business und Economy Class. The cabin interior will be designed Italian-style, in-flight service will be in the hands of Italian fights attendants and Italian delicacies will round off the in-flight cuisine.
Didn't we read the news about these A319 going to Air Dolomiti? Rebranding? Or (on the corporate website) a new airline: "In early 2009, Lufthansa is to found its own Italian airline with the new brand and apply for an Italian Air Operator Certificate (AOC)."

The Italian webside announces the following routes:

From 2 February 2009, we’ll be offering you direct flights from Milan to the first two new destinations - Barcelona and Paris. From 2 March 2009, we’ll be extending the choice of destinations, with flights to Brussels, Budapest, Bucharest and Madrid. And starting on 29 March 2009, London and Lisbon will be added to the list too.

The latest plan I heard from sources at LH was that it would operated under LH brand with EN crews, but they weren't entirely sure yet. And at least when I last checked a day or two ago lh.com showed the flights as operated by EN.

The press release makes it sounds like they indeed changed their plans slightly and it'll get another AOC.

So the remnants of Alitalia will now have a chance to be merged with an Italian airline?
