Operator said, that this is one region to much, because the Departure City also counts as a region.

well, "normal" award would be 2 regions (e.g. europe && us). 3 regions mean one more region. e.g. europe && us && south america.

cheers,

ben

FRA (Europe)

EZE/GRU (South America)

SYD/AKL (Australia)

Hi

Show us the exact routing.
If you touch (this includes transfering Airports) only 3 regions on outbound and/or return then it might be 3 region award.

I do not know a miles and more partner that flies direct from South america to SYD or AKL so you will fly via North America and thats the fourth region.

Bye PEM

Thats the piont. It is a region even if I am staying there only half an hour at the Airport... .

So in my Opinion, the best use for an 3 Region ticket is a trip ( starting in Europe) to Australia doing a stopover in Singapur.

In my opinion you can not call this a 3 Region Award.

one way would be the OS flights from VIE to SYD/MEL. AFAIK they only count as one region.

As PEM points out, there are no *A or M&M partners serving South America to NZ/Australia directly without using another region.

Need to construct it as 2 awards, or a RTW award.

The only South America to NZ/Australia flights are by LAN and Aerolineas Argentinas.
