seat selection - United domestic Y award booked with miles and more

I was looking at booking a United operated award (domestic US) in coach using my LH miles and more account; I found an option that LH lists as "economy flex" for 15K miles. However, I noticed that the award indicates: Free Seat Reservation: Not offered. Will I be able to take the PNR to the united site and select seats for this itinerary? I thought that regular economy award reservations with United do include seat assignments, though I do not have experience booking awards with miles and more. Thanks in advance.

in case anyone else ever has this question, I was able to use the LH PNR to look up the reservation instantly on the United site, and I could add seats there (free seats in the back, or paid seats in the preferred and economy plus sections).

Additionally, I was not able to add my known traveler number to the LH award booking (at least not anywhere that I saw), but I was eastly able to add this on the United site.

Check on lh.com if you have the APIS dropdown available in your reservation. If you open this one you get a checkbox that will allow you to add a KTN or redress #.

What is a Known Traveller number, or redress # ? Sounds ominous, but I've never been clear as to what this is exactly.

https://ttp.dhs.gov/

The KTN is the ID the DHS uses to manage membership in Trusted Traveler Programs such as Global Entry. IIRC it is also used if you are a member of TSApre (only).
