but only until 2 pm as far as I understood

look at SQ „Singapore Airlines will unlock the doors of its airport lounges at Sydney and Melbourne on Monday November 1, ahead of the restart of quarantine-free travel between Australia and Singapore on November 8.“

This is the difference AHEAD instead of months after all other lounges are full and LH can not argue anymore to keep them closed. Want to be 5* airline (LH) vs. real 5* airline (SQ). Sad!

Has anyone been to the FCL yet? Any pics of the recent menu would be awesome.
It's just A that opened right?
Can I get there from Non-Schengen without an on-going flight? I

'll be there around 12 on Tuesday to report if nobody has checked it out yet!

Yes, just FCLA open & FCT.

Assuming your coming in from LAX, you should arrive ‘clean’ at Z gates, so it’s just passport control at A, which is close to FCL A.

Anyone arriving at B or C would have more difficulty because transit security is involved & BP checks.

Menu should be the same as FCT, as always.

was able to get into FCL from Z gates. Customs did ask me why I wanted to go to A with no onward ticket but let me through.

heres some photos of the menu/bar/schnitzel (not as good as before) and fyi they held my luggage safe at the luggage desk since I came a few hours after landing.

Glad you were able to go and thanks for the pictures.

Concerning the luggage: I've only done it at MUC, but the PAs at the FCL there give the luggage people a call to take your luggage off the belt and keep it safe until you arrive. Otherwise, they will wait until the belt stops and collect all the luggage nobody claimed.

According to the FCL lounge staff they wait for Controlling department to give the green light. May be after today LH paid back their loan to the german government, the next investment is in opening the FCL lounges
