Dynamic Pricing coming... and other bits
Just read an article anout Mr. Spohr and a speech he gave in Miami:
1. Dynamic pricing coming
2. Swiss to keep first class on all routes
3. Lufthansa to have first on about “40%” down from 50%.
4. €3.5bn being spent each year on planes.
“The Lufthansa Group will move its Miles & More loyalty program that offers free flights on the group’s airlines, which include Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings among others, to a dynamic pricing model, according to executives speaking during a press briefing today in Miami.“

Great LX are keeping F on all it’s longhaul routes, bad that dynamic pricing is coming for M&L although given their IT strength there might be the occasional bargain

This doesn’t excite me at all, but with how these airlines participate in ‘the race to the bottom’, I guess it was inevitable.
For me, M&M’s greatest asset is its constantly good award availability compared to other airlines.
The good news is that I can’t imagine this will be easy for them to implement, so time is on our side.
