And if I earned another 100K EQMs in 2020, would my SEN status then extend until February 2024?

You then have either 20 or 21 to extend it for another 2 years.

From my point of view there are only two special aspects about qualifying and requalifying for SEN:
1. the dead year
If your SEN is valid until 02/20xx, you can requalify in 20xx (Jan and Feb), 20xx-1 and 20xx-2, but not in 20xx-3.
If SFO777 requalfies in 2020 for SEN until 02/2024, he can not requalify for SEN in 2021 again, but in 2022, 2023, 01/2024 or 02/2024.
2. qualifying for almost three years
If you qualify or requalify in 01/20xx or 02/20xx, you get the SEN until 02/20xx+2.
If you qualify (not requalify) in 03/20xx or later in that year, you get the SEN until 02/20xx+3.

I've always been a bit ahead, but I qualified in 2015 (until 2018) and again in 2016 (until 2020). The year after, 2017, was a dead year. Then I qualified in 2018 (hopefully until 2022).
Just trying to make it clear and readable, for myself as much as for anybody else. The last 3 segments of 2018 got credited, 2 of them by retroclaim, in 2019. Hope their system can deal with that.

I don't think you're right about Jan and Feb requal. There is a grace period at the end of your status year, but it's not a separate year. So a requalification within Jan+Feb of 20xx would be a requalification in 20xx proper, meaning, for the rest of the 20xx year, then 2 more years, and the grace period until end Feb.

Hi all, I’m new here. Apologies for digging up an old post. I know this is a question that has been asked many times before, but when I call miles and more they are less than helpful! In 2017 I did enough flights to qualify for my frequent flyers. This is valid until Feb 2020. In 2018 I then completed 32 flights. I was under the impression that this should extend my FT up to Feb 2022. However, when I called miles and more to check this, I was told I will only requalify if I do 30+ flights in the final year (2019). Can anyone confirm what is correct? Maybe the policy has changed in recent years?

As far as i am aware if you requalify you only extend by 1 year.
so i qualified for ftl in 2017 so i have it till feb 2020
If i do 30+ flughts in 2018 or 2019 then it extends ftl till feb 2021 not feb 2022
so i qualified for ftl in 2017 so i have it till feb 2020
If i do 30+ flughts in 2018 or 2019 then it extends ftl till feb 2021 not feb 2022

M&M are wrong in this one: if you qualified in 2017, you got FTL status for 2018 and 2019 (plus Jan-Feb 2020). You then have either 2018 or 2019 for requalification. You requalified in 2018 so it does not matter what happens in 2019. Around November 2019, your M&M page will show that your status is valid Until Feb 2022 actually.

I thought it was 2 but please let one of our FTL correct me if I’m wrong, only extending by 1 Year is how it could be read but then the requal in one of 2 years makes no sense.
