I think we now all got it that Upgrades/benefits CAN happen - but are not part of the standard service 
I flew LH as a SEN on my birthday the last 2 years in C.
- 2014: Upgrade to F on EWR-DUS ( back in the days where this route still had the old F)
- 2015: Nothing.
