BA are already well into pruning their summer schedule. Just had the late Houston to London flight cancelled for Easter Monday (for example).

EN will start flying Munich-Aarhus (DK) from March 29, 2021, three weekly (Mon+Thu+Sun) midday rotations during the first period. Planned to increase to 6 weekly (daily except Sat) rotations further into the year. Scheduled with E195 on EN flight numbers, but with LH codeshare flight numbers. The flights have already been released and are bookable now.
SK has flown the same route back in 2018, but with no great success, partially due to their flights not being codeshared with LH or any other *A airline, and thus no possibility to fly further on from MUC on one ticket.

Do we expect First Class to be brought back into service for summer 2021?

Considering that Covid situation in Europe seems to only be turning to worse, I highly doubt that. But then again, my guess is as good as anybody's.

I hope so, since I have tickets on LX in F to USA next Summer.

In the U.K. we already started the vaccinations & they are supposed to be completed by early Summer, USA are just starting & have the capability to complete by next Summer, it is reasonable to expect things to get back to near normal by next Summer.

So someone kindly explain again since I think someone recently asked but I didn't quite get it...when do they update the schedules/aircraft that will be used starting in March? I know with the winter freeze lots of flights have been changed, especially the switch from 747s to 359s on many routes...but if I want to plan something in March, when will LH reflect the additional changes probably coming / extension of the winter freeze changes? I don't buy that the 747s will be back to North America in March so...

US seat load factor is currently at 20%, and the only reason they are flying the current schedule to the US (and adding LH154x flights with an empty cabin) is freight. Ex FRA starting this week they are down to 7 B74H, 7 A359, 11 A343 (including two preighters), 14 A333, 47A32S, 4 EN E95, 9 CL E90, 10 CL CR9. Ex MUC: 5 A359, 16 A32S, 4 CL A319, 14 CL CR9 & 5 CL E95.

In my view this is very optimistic - most likely you be able to travel but things will not be "back to normal" already in 7-8 months from now.

I did say near normal & isnt it better to be optimistic rather than pessimistic

Looks like LH deprogrammed the 747-8 on flights to BKK for the whole year

Do you think I will have any luck asking for my flight (I am due a rebook) to be routed MAN-FRA-ZRH-BKK so we can visit the FCT, assuming that it will be re-opened come November time?

I also see that A availability seems to be zeroed on those dates, (with F being between 4-8). Why would it be F-8 and no A... are they going to give me a hard time rebooking?

For the rest of the W20/21 schedule, ops in MUC are down to 4% of the February 2019 schedule. Only 4 A320neo and 3 A319 are operating, which is the minimum to keep the critical crew licenses alive, so that when and if the schedule resumes these crew can do the line checks on the flight crews that come back into operations.

FRA is still at 20% of 2019, but demand for the rest of the W20/21 schedule continues to fall. The 4 A343 that do freighter ops will stop in mid February. Some of that freighter business is operated with A359s.

March looks to be equally bleak: MUC will stay at the low level; FRA will get 6 A320 reactivated to go to 40, 4 A343 pax freighters come back and the rest is flown with 7 B748, 8 A343 and 14 A333.

My flight from DEL got changed from an A343 to a B748
