What A3 grants you on retroclaim is upto them. LH/OS/LX (and SK/AI) report into the *A database what booking class is in the reservation for that segment. Only if it is O/I the FFP system looks for the originally ticketed class for that segment and credits that. Plusgrade on A3 works differently it seems.

anyone realized upgrade bidding prices went up about 20/25% 2 days ago?! All my OS bookings have raised upgrade bidding price, booking class codes have not changed, still P. weird, any other info about it anywhere...

Placed a bid for 3 passengers, VIE-IAD Y to J for 440 EURO per person. I'll follow up with results.

Economy (K)
Min was 400, but I was offered 800 to guarantee the upgrades a few days ago but I refuse to pay 800 as I'm paying for 3

When OS process Bid for Upgrades?
Hello All,

I have a flight in 5 days, flight currently showing
J9 C9 D9 Z0 P0 G9 E9 N0 Y9 B9 M9 U9 H0 Q9 V9 W9 S9 T0 L0 K0

I bid for 3 upgrades about a week ago.. is there a specific time frame that OS start processing (approving/declining) those?

Let's get you upgraded!

Here's how it works:
  1. Any flight route of your journey must be selected separately
  2. Define your upgrade amount for each flight, then click Continue. You will not be charged until your upgrade is confirmed.
Taking account of the flight and booking situation on your flight we will notify you as of 72 hours* prior to your departure if your request has been approved.

My wife and daughter were flying tonight on OS026 from BKK-VIE in N class. One ticket was basic PE and the other an upgraded K class ticket (which OS had upgraded without additional cash or mileage payment). At the airport, PE was full and my wife accepted an upgrade to P for €400. Surprisingly, my daughter was then given a free OPUP to P at the gate. Both had A3*S status. Super lucky!

Maybe I am blind, but I cannot find where I can do a bid upgrade for a flight at the beginning of June for Austrian. I did one fixed upgrade, could this have made it not possible to bid for the other upgrades?

At least they know what it’s worth!

By the way, I’d be interested to know if any ex-LHR Plusgrade’s now collect additional APD. LO is doing this since a week I’d say.
