Flight #425 BOS-MUC on 6/7/14 A340-600 question
Hello.
A US Chairman here making his first foray onto "your" thread so please go easy.
Have booked the above referenced flight in Biz.
I’m sure you want to point me to the sticky above but even though I’m a FF, I’m not necessarily up on all the abbreviations and terms used on these forums and industry.
What I think it says is that currently, of the 14 340-600 based out of Munich, only 1 has to date, been retrofitted.
Based upon the expertise and knowledge of the primary posters here who have followed the trends and news of the retrofits, is there a guess as to the chances our June flight may have the retrofitted seats?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response Student Flyer
Being chained somewhat to US for so many years and thier outdated trans-atl business class service, I actaully got somewhat "spoiled" when just a few years back, they updated their 330 fleet to their "Envoy" pod suite which actually seems to be the early version of the new pod that most US domestic carriers are now installing.
Funny that they were about at the bottom for onboard trans-atl service quality forever and then ended up being at the forefront of the retrofit modernization that everyone seems to be doing now.
At 6'4 its tough to go back to a Dentist chair for over-night flights!

EWR-DUS in late June
I will be flying A343 on EWR-DUS route in late June. How likely for it to have new C seats?

Once first 4 new C 343 have been delivered to FRA, DUS will get the new batch of 343s. Starting S14 all 343s will be two class.

It seems the A346 ex MUC is mainly used for EWR. Are there any exceptions or how reliable is this? Could the plane techincally also be used for GRU ex MUC? I know the chances are super slim but I wonder if there is 0 chance or at least a 1% chance?

I guess a mathematician would say that there is always a chance. Are you being serious or just hopeful?

It seems KH went to MLA:
http://www.flightradar24.com/data/airplanes/d-aikh
That would mean HR, KG, KH and GS are in retrofit right now.
