Maximum Segments on LH Baggage Tag
I will be flying the following itinerary:
SEA-FRA LH
FRA-CDG LH
CDG-BKK TG
BKK-NRT TG
Will LH in SEA be able to tag my bags all the way to NRT (4 segments in total)?
It seems like that most airline check-in systems allow printing of baggage tags for a maximum of 4 segments.

I had NUE-DUS-CPH-BKK-REP (so 4 segments) on 1 Tag by LH
TG on the way back (SGN-BKK-CPH-MUC-NUE) had to issue 2 tags that were attached next to each other on the bag (but with the same number on it)
Both ways, the bags made it.

I am not sure they will allow to do this now, since they also unload bags in case the person has checked in but did not board. In general, it is a security concern.

it arrived every single time i had to check luggage like that...
this was fairly recent, and i already had a similar situation this year, even to the us. why would it be a security problem if the bag doesn't leave the secure area...

I am not an expert on this topic, but it was explained to me that no bag should fly without the proper person on board. Furthermore at the check in they sometimes ask whether it was possible for someone to put something in my bag.
But since you were able to do it, it is obviously possible. Maybe they still send the bags in the same plane you are travelling in, but have a storage in the stopover airport, therefore it does not need to be collected.

of course its held at the airport on my stopover points, and only if they are not too long. they won't hold your bag for days...
