Lufthansa Group Companion Fare Sale.....
...... surely we're due one soon? I've been holding off booking flights to Jo'burg in the hope that a sale would come around but alas nothing as yet. Anyone with any thoughts??

They will not offer it until they have to, looking at the passenger loads on my routings, not likely…..

I've not seen any companion fare since the valentines sale 2023... LH moved to the new booking engine in March 2023 and my gut feeling tells me the new booking engine can't handle the 'LGPARTYOF2' companion fare modus...?

So much more money is made with premium leisure travel. As long as enough couples are willing to pay top dollar, it makes perfect business sense to tone down the number of companion sales.
Edit: Also, it would be a sad day for Lufthansa if this was an IT issue. IT-wise, 98% of ticketing and revenue management is about the backend. It would be a IT disaster if the 2% frontend blocked revenue management from doing its job.
