The offer is NOT cheap at all.

All prices are: "All fares are excluding taxes and fuel surcharges."

ie, you add their fantasy surcharges. Makes Economy more expensive than several competitors, makes Premium Economy as expensive as the cheapest fares in Business class (all incl) from competitors, and business class (P fare) is more expensive than other flexible business class fares from competitors (even including *A)

And the F fare.. that can hardly be considered an offer..

Imho total joke.. make a proper sale or don't make one at all..

Thanks for all the helpful tips on the previous page. I'd probably pass on Aeroflot to be honest, Swiss may be an option if there is a good connection to either MUC or FRA. And yes, I'm collecting miles on M&M this year, although that's not a huge concern. I already pretty much gave up on that program.

Anyway, I actually managed to snatch a ticket from today's 88 anniversary sale. Total ¥21,400 for P-fare roundtrip nonstop PVG to FRA just before Christmas and back just after New Year - not too bad, me thinks.

Right now, two hours after midnight, the same connection isn't even bookable. If I select my outgoing flight, the return flight says "not combinable" - weird. The next cheapest option returning via stop in MUC is now ¥27,200.

The same itinerary in economy was ¥5656 during the sale and now is ¥7300. That was a pretty good deal too for a x-mas flight.

which was mentioned by myself 2 posts above you

The fares were probably "ok'ish", but certainly not something you would make a big "88 years super special deal".. seems LH knows how to do marketing with all the double-8's in China (thought a German company might be afraid of that ) but then forget to actually throw in a really good offer.

Oh well, the Chinese have enough money, they can pay more than some EUropoors they must have thought

How can all of these be gone already? I've only just received the newsletter. A real pain, for a voucher would be useful at the moment.

Either that or the promotion is not active yet (the date in the url might be a clue?). I clicked the link in the newsletter 3 minutes after it was sent and all the codes were supposed to be gone already. Bad PR in any case - why they would advertise a non-existing promotion that will only disappoint their customers is beyond my imagination.
