Winking

When you're traveling in Europe and another man winks at you, how do you interpret it? I've been winked at in many countries but I'm never sure how to take it. Of course much of this depends on what country you're in, a wink from a guy in Greece could mean something completely different than a wink from a Danish guy, who knows.

My parents kind of taught me that people who wink are dishonest, they're trying to gain your confidence in order to take advantage of you, but I've come to realize that's usually not the case.

ANYWHERE I travel, when a handsome man winks at me, I get a little tingle.

Also, I am a winker. When I wink at someone (male or female) it is supposed to mean, hey you are in on the secret with me. I have found the same in other countries.

When I was younger men would wink at me in bars and that kind of meant the same thing, they wanted to take advantage of me, but I am older now and wont fall for that the 12th time....

...winking is safe, it's comes after that could go either way.

In Havana, winking is out and groping their private parts seems to be more subtle. I kid you not .

They're already blind, they're trying to feel their way around.

I'm guessing if you combine a wink with the "3 second rule" (ie - the winker maintains eye contact for 3 or more seconds) you can pretty much be sure you're being cruised -- in ANY country!
