(But that was it, I didn't give him my card or gave him any personal info). Then, towards the end of the flight, we were handed a survey of which I happily completed and handed it to ANOTHER FA (FA 2). And, just last week, I received an e-mail from FA 1 asking me out and confessed that he got my e-mail from the survey...I basically am shrugging my shoulders over this, but my boss said I should write to HQ (I think that's a little extreme). What are your thoughts?

No harm has been done or importantly was intended to be done. Life is far to swift to pass up people paying compliments. A polite reply as suggested is all that is required. We have all done inappropriate or made misjudgements in our lives and really you'd get the guy sacked and those that say well he deserves it for breaking the data protection act should lighten up a bit.

I'm certainly building a profile on people never to seek an email address from save they feel their identity is going to be compromised. Sheesh!
When is the American lead war on Iraq going to be over?
When is the next US election?
We need a sea change.

Take it as a compliment... the last time I was sort of hin on by a FA was on AIR CHINA in the mid 90's... and SHE was trying to introduce her sister to me!
I should have asked if she had any brothers! But then I was dating someone then...

NOW who is getting a little over excited?

I think the point was that the OP was NOT asked for his email.

Think of how easy it is to get thet information. Infact we give it out all the time.

I don't see what the big deal is...it's just an email address. Like most people I have multiple email addresses including one that I use for just travel related accounts.
This all seems rather innocent. I would take it as a compliment and leave it at that. It's always okay to say thanks but no thanks.

This FA should be publicly executed for his ability to pay a compliment without asking and perhaps having the ability to do all sorts of nasty things with a passengers email address. I'm in shock at the ramifications. The sky is falling in!
