2 can play the same game
1) On 2/9 I spoke w/LP since my 1/28 request transfer to Hilton wasn't done,I was told it would go thru as my Feb transfer. I called to make sure it went thru on 2/5 and was told NO it will be done on 2/12, and THAT IT WOULD COUNT AS PART OF THE 250,000 so I cancelled it. This was per Eileen who is the supervisor in charge so I was told.Sent a fax yesterday telling them what was requested B4 2/9 should not be counted as part of the 250,000.
I also told them that as 11am 2/9 no one in my company was authorized to fly ANY of the MEMBER AIRLINES on a paid ticket till further notice,anyone who had a fully refundable ticket MUST get it refunded and switch to any other carrier going down. Unfortunatly some cities might be serviced only by a member so then and only then may they fly them. I also have spoken with a couple of travel agent friends whom because of my trip started to push the Member carriers,they agreed to switch and push US carriers.Which is easier today since DL,AMR UAL,CO have been expanding service.
I ask that you join me just as we gave them GREAT PR lets get the word out,that things are NOT as we thought. I included the above in my fax to LP.
Don't be surprised to find that the flights you requested weren't aviable and a new search will mean that the miles are part of the 250,000.Since they weren't able to comfirm you on the requested flights.

Spoke with Joclyn this morning to see what is the story with past requests.She said that they WILL NOT count towards the 250,000. So I asked that my transfer to Hilton be reinstated and not count towards my 250,000 since I cancelled it on 2/9 since Eileen said it would count. Was told to call back after 2pm. If it goes thru I am willing to allow the people in the company to once again fly the Member carriers,as well as stop the bad PR,and letting the travel agents know everything is fine(as best as can be) in regards to LP and the MEMBERS.

Spoke to LP yesterday afternoon and was told that indeed they will allow the transfer to Hilton to go thru without it being deducted from the 250,000, since it was submitted on 1/28.
i have since resinded the policy that no one can fly a Member carrier and imformed my travel agent friends that LP is now being a bit more reasonable.
