Success!!!!!!
Today I confirmed roundtrip business class for two on TWA from New Orleans to Cairo on 6 January 2001! I got the flights I wanted and the class of service I requested. In addition, I used Marriott Reward points that I had transfered from LP to get (and have rec'ved) coupons for my hotel stay in Cairo. BTW, the Cairo Marriott is excellent, at least it was two years ago.

I'm impressed, [b]markschn[b] (not with LatinPass, but with the persistance that I'm sure it took for you to get the tickets booked and the miles transferred in a timely manner).
Have a nice trip.

Isn't it funney (of course not to us LP Members) that LP is the only thread on this board that members post sucsess stories of booking a flight???
I think this should be proof enough that this programme has a lot of faults in it, and those who posted "Great Service" messages either were the exception, or are people who wouldn't know what great service was if it came out a hit them!

Canadian, it's all relative I agree, but try it this way, relatively...even with the hassles booking 30k for 2 domestic means 35 bucks a ticket my cost...relatively speaking, that's a success (to qoute 'shrubs' soon-to-be-veep..."big time").
Taking everything into account everyone who gets the million will be a winner, I sure hope you have or soon will resolve your issues and join us all. Perhaps then you'll be able to put it in context and see what a wonderful deal it is

I'm guessing that lots of us don't bother posting our reservations-- I've booked maybe a half dozen tickets so far with few problems. I got prime flights for Thanksgiving that worked with my work schedule, and I have a few other tickets being processed.
I could post my recent troubles finding CO seats, even as Gold Elite. I see now that CO blackouts and NW blackouts don't match, which means my CO miles are worthless for NW's "off-peak" days when seats show available.
And it looks like I'll have to rely on my backup with an LP partner that does show availability. I am now waiting "10 business days" for CO to check for seats on Air France-- that's much slower than my LP responses have taken.
My point: Experiences with LatinPass are not extraordinarily difficult, as Canadian suggests. I'm sure there are many other Latin Pass flyers who have success every day.

I agree that the service is not all bad , as Canadian suggests. I transferred to Marriott and the miles were posted the very next day.
I am new to this board, but from the posts I have read , seems to me that Canadian has a bit of a negative attitude.

Thomas Gregory,
Canadian's posts may very well have a negative tone to them, but I suggest that you attempt to book an award ticket with LatinPass and then note how cheery you feel after the entire experience.
Surely you've heard the phrase "It's like pulling teeth"? I would suggest that a more accurate description of dealing with LatinPass would be using a waiter's corkscrew to slowly crush those teeth, one by one, without painkillers, pretending the entire time that it's a pleasant experience because it costs less than going to the dentist.
I've booked awards with numerous other programs and none of them have even begun to approach LatinPass's inefficiency, inconsistency, and singular incompetence.

FLYING DUTCHMAN:
HIGH FIVE TO YOU!
Sure anyone can transfer 30,000 miles to a hotel programme, but wait till they want to fly, and see availability with the airline (contacting them direct) but LP takes a week to confirm!
Maybe those above never read my post of Latin Pass getting a rental receipt from me COURIERED BY DHL and telling me for 5 months "O.K. no problemo senor" only to tell me at the end of the programme that they never got it!
Then to add insult to injury when I called Jessie on this (as i was dealing with her mostly) she gets all .....y with me and trys to tell me she never confirmed it!
All of you should remember something, if someone is negative theres probably a good reason why!
