Is it really true?

I just received my LatinPass card and the membership book. Since I am a Swede(sweden is consider as Europe2 in the book) it would cost me 70,000 miles to US with KLM service. If I choose to travel to Australia instead it would only cost me 50,000 in eco and 75,000 in business. Can someone explain this to me? Australia is much further away but still its much cheaper, why?

Most FF programs have a few awards that are bargains compared to other programs or destinations. I don't know that there is a specific reason. One way to maximize benefits is to know what you want and then compare programs and awards. If you want to travel Sweden-Australia then LP may be a great program for you!. KLM business class has a middle-of-the-road reputation at best but no matter how you slice it at 50/75 it's a great deal.

The LatinPass million mile bonus got a lot of flyertalker's trying LatinPass and so far, aside from some accounting issues, I think most people were pleasantly surprised and impressed.
