Will American make US Airways leave this program because of the new AA/US Alliance? American is very strong where LatinPass is.

My opinion is that American will not pressure US Airways to leave the LatinPass alliance due to the long standing relationship that US Airways has had with LatinPass.

Even with American so intensively present in the area, LatinPass airlines, including those pertaiming to Grupo Taca, still cover the Spanish-speaking central american region more thuroughly than any other airline group. This is largerly due to the fact that American connects the region to the United States, whereas LatinPass member airlines INTERCONNECT the region (i.e. offer internal flights within the area).
