How do I pick seats on LATAM? Booked thru Delta

Booked flights LAX/MIA - MIA/UIO and UIO/MIA - MIA/LAX through Delta.com

Was able to book seats on Delta (First Class, was negligibly more than Premium Economy). Delta directed us to LATAM's website for seats on the two Quito legs. Getting errors on the LATAM site, both with the Delta redirect and with me entering the Confirm code and last name on their site. "We have problems showing this page"

Is this just because we only booked in the past hour? Or something we should be concerned about?

Thanks!

From past experience with DL/Latam bookings, call a DL agent (Human, not AI) and ask for the Latam Record locator and go into the Latam website and using your last name and the record locator pull up your reservation and book your seat right off the Latam seat map.

followup:

Bought the tix Saturday. Couldn't pick seats Sat or Sunday. But i could see the flights. Tried again today, using my Delra confirm number, as i did over the weekend, and it allowed me to choose seats up in the front 5 rows, with middle seats blocked

Normal behavior right after booking.

Delta and LATAM Airlines don’t always sync instantly especially on partner itineraries. The LATAM PNR (record locator) can take a few hours (sometimes up to 24h)

Two things you should do:
  • Wait a few hours and try again directly on LATAM (not via Delta redirect)
  • Make sure you have the LATAM-specific confirmation code (different from Delta’s)
If it’s still failing after ~24h, then contact LATAM—could be a ticketing or sync issue, but unlikely.

Perhaps you missed my second post. I *was* able to pick seats using the Delta confirmation code. It just took 48 hours to get there, which wasn't really a problem.
