Coming in Heavy...Two bags 32kg each
Hello:
I am flying in from Asia to NY and will have 32 kilos per bag, 2 bags. Then Separate ticket JFK-Santiago in Biz light, or whatever BA books mileage inventory into. I read that I am allowed 23 kilos per bag which leaves me roughly 9 kilos per bag too heavy. Does Latam do like Emirates in Europe and charge $55 per kilo over? Or 2 extra weight charges for "X amount per bag"......I have no status. Lastly, is there anyway to prepay this overage on the free ticket for a better price?

Hi,
According to this page it is $100 per bag. I have never seen the option to pay for overweight bags beforehand, but someone else may be able to confirm this.
