LAN.com choose your seat function

For the past week I have been unable to access the choose your seat function for any of my upcoming flights. I just keep getting the same error message (bookings are all still in tact on amadeus' checkmytrip)

"No se encontró una reserva válida para el código ingresado..."

Is anybody else having the same issue?

More than not, I've had the same problem, or one where the reservation comes up but a couple segments will say that they aren't operated by LAN so I can't see the seatmap.

Fortunately, checkmytrip shows everything ok.

LOL that's a good one!

Thanks to all for the answers --- I agree that as long as it still appears in checkmytrip it must be a LAN web site prob and the res is OK. What a pity that I avoid calling unless I absolutely have to!

I checked in online on 22nd March and the choose your seat function was definitely broken then. Perhaps they have spent the week fixing it.

It would not let me continue without choosing a seat even though I was happy with the seat that had been pre-chosen by the system. So I tried to change my seat to progress and my seat got stuck to my cursor and I couldn't put it down anywhere

Spoke too soon because it's down and out again! I also noticed that it no longer allows me to search by "my trips" only the res code. I'm hoping they are upgrading the system because the current incarnation is awful and totally unreliable (has been for at least three years).

LAN OLCI trouble

When I try to do OLCI for my LAN flights, the record appears correctly, complete with seat assignments. However, I can't complete checkin and keep getting a message to select seats. The system seems to be stuck in a loop.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Try clearing all cookies --- logout and then try again. That worked once anyway! Good luck!

I had the same problem. You need to select another seat than the one you want, then go back and select the one you want. So basically, the system doesn't recognize your pre-selected seat as having made a seat selection.

RE: OLCI

Thanks for the suggestions. However, neither of them worked. Clearing cookies did not change anything. I still got the same error message "To complete the check-in process, you must choose a seat."

Choosing different seats merely bounced me back to the beginning of the checkin process!

Of course, this is not critical ... though it would be nice if the functionality actually worked. Guess I will wait till airport checkin.

What browser do you use? I had problems with older versions of Google Chrome.
