Palms Place or Signature at MGM? Or the low cost option Stratosphere?

Hi there,

I can't really decide. I will spend one night in Vegas in October with my girlfriend. Currently I see three valid options:
1) Signature at MGM for 159$
2) Palms Place for 109$ (through vegas.com BRG)
3) Stratosphere 36$ (or a bit more for a better room)

The first two are more of the "hey let's spend some money" category and the last one comes from the "how long are you going to be in your room? Better spend money on going out!" thought.

The Signature would be closer to the strip, while Palms Place has a pool for the next day. Rooms seem to be nice at both properties.
Both my gf and me have been to Vegas before, we'll be driving there from the Grand Canyon that day.

Has anyone stayed at both places and can recommend one? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Strat

I have stayed at the Strat a couple times. I can't recommend it. There are just too many young families with kids. They run all over, tie up the elevators, and are generally a pain. It's just a low rent joint and can't compare to the other places you mentioned.
Although, eating at the Top of the World is a great experience.

Good luck!

Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Signature. It's wonderful... the Signature has a pool, plus you might be able to access the main MGM Grand pool as well (I'm not positive).

Haven't stayed at the Palms, but their casino can be great fun.

Signature guests do get access to MGM's pool complex.

Signature rooms are very nice. I recently saw a promo for $149 that included some extras for a Studio Suite. It is a pretty long walk to the MGM proper but at least it is an air conditioned walkway!

Impress your gf...go Palms Place! Pretty hip, with lots of celebs and hotties hanging around.

Palms place has a beautiful, small pool area and a great restaurant (Simon's) open for three meals a day. There is a skywalk to the main Palms hotel.

Go to the VRBO (Vacation Rental By Owner) website. There are several homeowners renting their suites at the Signature at discount rates. Be sure to ask for the rate including all taxes and surcharges. You should be able to get a good rate there.

Don't forget the "resort fee" the Strat charges at check-in . . . If the OP is looking for low-cost, then there are indeed better options at that price point. If it's going to be just one night, I probably would go with just about any other option.
