Any Updates

My BF and I are going to Vegas this weekend and want to go dancing. We'd like something were we can get in without too many hoops (no $50 cover charge or two hour line ups!) and mainstream music. My BF hates DJ who do a lot of sampling/cutting.

I was once walking with my wife at Caesars, and passed the "Cleopatra boat" or whatever it's called. We decided to step on and dance a few steps.

It was like being at a wedding where you don't know anyone (uncle jack doing the white man overbite, a 50yr old w fake tan dressed like a 30yr old, mediocre cover band, fog machine, etc...) We laughed and had to leave.

If that's what you're looking for, make a right just before the sports book...

Another option is to go to a semi-happening club EARLY. Often Vegas crowds don't start up until 10pm+, so get there early and getting in isn't as big of an issue.

It's never really been "members only" since they unofficially changed their admit policy circa 2007, and definitely not after they officially changed it last year. I do like the place but it has always been super-crowded when I've visited after even the unofficial attendance policy change.

Why, because you've never been to any of the many classy places in Las Vegas?

I agree that Mix trends older, but it's still very much a typical Vegas nightclub and I'm still not sure it will fit the OP's wants - it's not a place I'd try to sit down and have a conversation, for example.

FYI - I wouldn't expect a response. Those posts your replied to are about 2 years old.

Thanks!

Thanks for the input. My BF and I really enjoyed Eyecandy at Manadaly Bay. It's right in the center of the casino and as one of the posters commented a bit like a wedding. Popular music, room on the dance floor to...dance! And no line or cover when we arrived around 11 pm on Saturday night.

As land commented arriving early also seems to be an option - we checked out RumJungle just as it was opening and it was ok, but we decided not to stay as we didn't like the music.

Hope this helps someone out!

One of the posters above spoke about " classy" places in LV: which places currently do you consider such and why?
