Time difference?

Hi all

Is there a time difference when from Los Angeles to Vegas or is it the same?

Thanks
Andrew

They are both in the Pacific Time Zone.

If you drive across Hoover Dam (a few miles southeast of Las Vegas) you will cross into the Mountain Time Zone.

same, Pacific Time Zone.

But, you do understand, one is required to ignore time when in The Vegas.

Are there any shops in Vegas that sell wooden things? Like, gallery art? Or just handmade toys and lamps and things?

I'd ask your hotel concierge.

Since Arizona does not observe dst, even though it is MTZ, the times are NOW the same. After Oct. 28, 2007, when dst ends, things will be back to "normal."

Except in the Navajo and Hopi nations, which DO observe DST.

I saw the effect of this once at a motel in Kayenta where people were arriving at what they thought was ~ 5:30pm for their held-until-6pm hotel reservations -- which had, of course, been given away to others since they weren't there by 6pm, local time.

And it's a very, very long drive to the next place with any sort of decent motel

From what I've seen, Hopi is on Arizona time, not Navajo time.

You are right. My bad. Tuba City is on standard time; Kayenta on DST.
