LAS lockers

Are the lockers at McCarron operational? If so, will they handle a standard rollaway? I have an "planned" 9 hour layover in LAS, [PHL-LAS-SAN] and would rather not check (and likely lose) my bag in PHL, but I certainly don't want to cart it around LAS. As a follow-up question, would I be allowed to carry on my bag in PHL, then check it once I get in Vegas? (arriving 2:25 pm, leaving for SAN at midnight)

Assuming you're planning to spend your 9-hour layover at one (or several) casino hotels, why not check it with the bell captain at one and go back to retrieve it before your flight?

Yes, you can carry-on for the 1st leg and then check your bag for the 2nd leg of your itinerary... unless rules have changed recently. I've done it many times in the past when an itinerary required a forced overnight.

I assume you mean they are not operational? I was there a few weeks ago and saw the lockers in A and B.

I guess this constitutes answering my own question, but the info may help others. I just spoke with an airport official (LAS), they DO have operational lockers, but beyond security, so for a long layover like mine, they will work fine, to leave a bag pre-security and come back, they will not. Thanks to all who replied...

Thanks for coming back and posting the information. Do you know where in the airport after security these lockers are located?

If you go to the airports website, they are on the map under "services", the red dots show the locations.
