Caesar's Magical Empire?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what did Caesar's did with the space formerly used by the "Caesar's Magical Empire" dinner show? Subsumed by the Coliseum?

I was sorry to see that show close ... certainly not GREAT food or GREAT magic or great performers, but still overall a very, very entertaining evening for me.

I am not sure what happened to the space. Upon returning after a few years away from Caesar's, I didn't even recognize the place and have a hard time finding my way around!

I also miss the Magical Empire. It was especially great for families and groups, and we brought several friends there over the years.

Never got the chance to see the Magical Empire show. The show was indeed closed to make way for the Coliseum and Celine Dion's show.

I never saw the show either, although it was always on my "someday I will go there" list, but that someday ended before I had the chance.

Wasn't it located directly under the shopping area? If so, my best guess is that they are probably using it for storage/stock from the shops above.

I was one of the performers who opened up CME 11 years ago (my how time flies.)

CME cost somewhere between $40-70 million, so it's really expensive to tear down. There were constant rumors about turning it into a nightclub. And they made good on their threat. Currently it's the Pussycat Doll Lounge.

I haven't been inside to see what they've done, but the structure is still there- you can see it as you drive by. Remember the Sanctum Secorum- the big rotunda area? From the Strip it's a dome, and it can still be seen if you know what you're looking for.

In case it wasn't obvious, you never really went below ground. Inside the casino, it's still right next to the sports book and Bobby Flay's restaurant (which used to be the Palatium Buffet).

Ironically, part of the reason CME didn't do so well was lack of foot traffic- the entrance was in a skeevy backwater of the casino. Now the entrance is in a high foot traffic area where guests could be enticed to enter, and there's no show. Sad, but that's just one of the MANY executive-level problems with that place.

Wow, thanks for the info! My last trip to Caesar's I had "guess-timated" it was right around that area, but it seems so much more open and airy now! As a matter of fact, Mr Fish and I sat at the slots right near of the entrance, discussing what may have happened to it!! What a shame it's gone, and now I will have to check out the lounge on my next trip!
