MGM Grand Signature

I've just returned from a 3 night paid (not comped) stay at this new MGM property and have to say (with a few minor problems) I was very impressed.
Here are some pics of the the place:

While acting as a hotel, this property is really a condo development where all units will be sold at prices ranging from $600m to $2,500m+. When the owners are not in residence, their units can be 'rented' out as hotel rooms. That said, all rooms are actually suites with a full compliment of high end appliances and are all fully furnished. Sizewiise my 1 bedroom suite was comprised of 2 regular, but long hotel rooms and if someone bought one of these, I can't imagine anyone living there full time. The towers are at the very far end of the MGM Grand property and you enter via Harmon Ave. Valet parking is complimentary and the atomosphere is very elegant and not at all like the usual Vegas hotels (and very similar to 4S LV). Our suite (33206) was an end unit facing the mountains, airport and a side view to the Strip. It had a small kitchen with fullsized appliances (Subzero fridge, Bosch dishwasher, Sharp Microwave, Miele Range, toaster, blender etc.) And was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, cleaning liquid etc. Hubby & I were able to shop for grocieries at the local Von's and were able to make our own breakfasts, snacks etc.
There are 3 LG flatscreen TV's-one in the living room, one which rises out of a desk in the bedroom and one in the main bathroom. The living room had a full terrace, although no chairs or tables were out there (we were able to move out 2 of the dinning roomchairs & an ottoman, for viewing the planes in & out of the airport.
Bedroom had 2 closets and a very comfy bed, there was also an IPod docking station with clock radio on the nightstand. The bath had a walk in shower and whirlpool tub, and was quite large. There was also a guest bath with a shower off the living room.
We were paying $359 for Fri & Sat & $299 for Sun. I was told these were 'introductory' rates and prices would be closer to the $500 later in the year.
The hotel has a Starbucks in the lobby, as well as a very small gift shop, and a lounge/bar. It has it's own pool, with food service, but guests can also use the big MGM Grand Pool right next door.
On the negative side, it is a very looooong walk via MGM Grand Casino from the strip, and when calling down for valet or main desk, there were times when the phone would be ringing off the hook without anyone picking up.
But all in all, a beautiful hotel! So much so, that hubby & I are thinking about staying here for Thanksgiving and picking up a turkey and fixings to make in the room

PS- For those who want to do a quick run to a Starwood hotel for the points/stays, the Aladdin is just across the street & they offer some cheapo discounted rates. (I did a quick $59 rate checkin/out on Sun for the double stay).
PSS- Apparently Hyatt is doing a similar Condo/Hotel deal on Harmon Ave next to Belliago on the otherside of the Strip. Prices, layout & atomosphere seem very very similar to MGM's (as per the e mail offer I received from Hyatt).
