advice on big suite needed

I need a fairly big suite, and wanted to know if anyone knew where to book these things at decent prices. I was thinking one step below a presidential suite, so maybe an mgm terrace suite, or one of those Four seasons things that are around 3,000 square feet (doesn't have to be that big)

all suggestions welcome
many thanks....Pacha

Probably not big enough for what you're looking for, but I've stayed in (and liked) the 1Br Penthouse Suites at the Mirage and Bellagio, both are in the 1200sqft range. The 1Br Piazza suites at the Venetian are also quite nice, again in the 1200sqft range. Each of these rooms have a huge living room (with a bar), a big bedroom (King bed), dressing area, bath with separate whirlpool tub and a shower. The Mirage bathrooms have a neat hot steam feature in the shower.

The Mirage 1BR suite can have a second bedroom attached turning it into a 1600 or so 2BR.

All of them are quite expensive by Vegas standards if you are not being comped into them. Expect to pay anywhere from $400-1000/night (depending on the time of year and if the stay covers a weekend).

You usually must get these suites directly from the Hotel. They normally are reserved for the high rollers as comps. If they are available (usually only during slow periods), the prices will be high. You might be able to negotiate if you have some leverage, such as you are bringing additional business to the hotel/casino (wedding, business event, etc).

BTW, I have stayed in an MGM Grand Terrace Suite. The layout is a little akward, but the view from the terrace can't be beat.

I am being quoted $299 for an 1100sq ft. rialto suite at the venetian, and will probably just take two of those.

Bellagio is giving me $575 for a 1560sq ft. suite, and $400 for a "2 room suite"....

If anyone has comments on hese, or furter suggestions on where to book the bigger one, please let me know.

many thanks for the above suggestions.

edited to say, that this is for a sunday night stay...

I would avoid the Rialto (unless you're looking for a suite with two beds, these suites only come with 2 queens). They are pretty much identical to the standard Venetian suite, they just have a larger/expanded entryway. Not a lot of extra living space advantage over the very nice standard Venetian suite.

How many adults? It sounds like you'd be best off with a 2Br suite at the Mirage. It comes with the "Royal Service" which includes limo service to/from the airport, and a line pass for most Mirage restaurants.

The Penthouse is on the top floor ("E" floor if memory serves) and has butler service. The Towers are on the other top floors (A-D floors). Room layouts are pretty much the same. Keep in mind that one of the bedrooms is "nicer", as it belongs to the 1Br suite. The other bedroom is a normal penthouse/towers floor room that connnects to the living room of the 1Br via a double door (making it a 2br suite). All come with Limo, line pass, invited guest check in, and private elevators.

The 2br Hospitality suite is a different animal, it is basically two std rooms with a common living room in between. Not really in the same league as the others.

I'd go for the towers, unless the price difference of the Penthouse is minimal. The couple of times I've been in the penthouse, I never made use of the butler service.

Bellagio is having a special on Penthouse suites, which are the nicest in town. I read $499/day plus $50 for lakeview. I'm not sure of the details.

I was upgraded to the Piazza Suite at the Venetian. It was an incredible room & really quite large.

The living room had 2 sitting areas & a large TV. The dining room had a wet bar, TV & coat closet.

This suite also has a powder room right off the foyer. If you plan on having guests this comes in handy.

Too bad I was attending a conference & was in that magnificent suite all by myself .
