645 AM AA FLT to DFW arrived at airport 515 am Nov 14, only 3 people in Elite line check-in, security etc took all of 15 mins, should have spent more time at the casinos.
Note though HP and WN checkins were horrendous besides most of their flight from different another airside.

My info on those slots is that those 80% is the average payout for a bank of machines or even for all machines of a company/casino. Compared to up to 98% in some casinos 80% is really low.
Avery Cardoza writes in one of his books that you should avoid those airport-slots (same as slots in waiting lines for buffets or at restrooms...) as hell, because they are by far tighter than others.

The 2P/1P/1K line at LAS - United is // never // long while regular coach can take up to an hour to clear.
Now for D Gate security, show up at least 1 hour prior to departure and you'll be ok... except:
Friday 5A - 9A, 11A - 1P, 7P-9P: security can take up to 30 mins to clear
Sunday 5A to 7P: Security can take up to 2 hours to clear
Otherwise, the D gates are most active from 8A to 11A in terms of security... lately I haven't had to wait more than 15 minutes and i've done about 30 segments out of here so far this year via the D gates...
I've even shown up for a 730P flight to SFO 30 minutes prior and walked right on the plane...

Sunday evening is the busiest time of the week. I would arrive two hours before flight time if you have elite check-in privileges, longer if you have to stand in the economy line.
There is no elite security bypass in LAS.
