hotel rates April 19 to 22, 2002
Hello to all,
New to this so please bear with me. Myself and four of my friends are going to Las Vegas on April 19 to 22 of this year.
Flights have been booked using miles for all so I can't beat that, however in looking for room rates I notice that all the hotel searches come up with the "rack rate".
My question to all: When would it be a good time to start looking for prices to drop for this time of year and if you have ever stayed in Las Vegas at these dates how do the rates usually run. I know there are not any conventions of any size going on at these dates
Any help would be most apprieciated.
Happy Holidays to all.

April promo rates will not be in the system until next month. Wait until January, and go directly to casinos' web sites. Keep checking the following thread as well: http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...ML/000039.html .

The NCTM Convention is during those days. So if you're going to stay at one the hotels listed in the brochure, unless you have a players code for the booking, you're not going to find a cheap price in the good area of the strip.
The last time that I went to a convention in Las Vegas, I checked the AOL Las Vegas bulletin board and I got a players code to book the room. They also suggested to check the LA Times.
Of course, I did go to the convention but I also played at the casino.

Welcome to Flyertalk!
PriceLine/Bidding for Travel can produce the lowest cost options for Las Vegas and other locations. Be sure and read the fine print before providing credit card numbers or making any other kind of committment.
Another option for comparing prices is TravelAxe (www.travelaxe.net). This is a program you install on your Internet connect PC that will compare prices at various travel web sites.

Try looking at this thread. There are several websites listed that have good room rates.
