Need Hotel Recommendation - Value Oriented

I'm staying October 7-14. Last summer someone clued me into Orleans, and I stayed there twice, booking on Hotwire for about $400 a week all-in. However, Orleans is not available on Hotwire and weekend rates are fairly high. Right now I have a regular rate reservation at Orleans (10% off with players club card) for about $800 for the week.

I'm looking for a good value. Prefer not to stay East of Strip for various reasons, and the Strip will almost surely be too expensive. I'm staying with my girlfriend so I don't want a place that's cheesy. I stayed at Palace Station one one trip, it was kinda OK but I wouldn't really take a girlfriend there, although I stayed in the Courtyard rooms and I think the Tower rooms are nicer.

My girlfriend will be going to the strip (south end) several days during the trip and when she does I won't have a car. So I'd like a place I can survive alone and where she won't be too shagged out driving back and forth.

What I'm seeing on Hotwire as possibilities are:

Texas Station - about $400 AI - but I think it's a fairly small hotel so there won't be much to do on property and I would prefer not to be too far from the strip.

Fiesta Henderson - somewhat far also, and I can't seem to find out how large the hotel is. I think this is a Station property also.

Those are the only two that seems particularly reasonably priced. Santa Fe Station is not bad but not much closer to south strip than Texas Station.

This is kind of a "we broke up and are getting back together" trip and our first two trips were at Orleans, so I may lean toward that since it's a known quantity.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I am out of town for the next week, but I do know rooms that week are slightly higher than normal. The rates are not that high.

Arizona Charlie's (both locations) and both Fiesta's SUCK. In you price range look at Palace (tower), Texas, Boulder Stations on those dates. Also look at Sunset Station, Gold Coast and Orleans. If you gamble at Coast or Station properties, contact a casino host. They may be able to help.

LMTclub has Fremont for $346 all in for your dates. It would be more of a drive for her to the South Strip, but good for you to walk around....

Also, Gold Coast for $405 plus resort fee. Westin Lake Las Vegas is a great deal at $409, but not handy for going anywhere.

Palace Station tower rooms are fine......courtyard rooms, not so much.

Check out the Westgate (formerly LV Hilton).......often they have good values, but not when big convention is at the LVCC.

You might be able to Priceline a 5-Star Strip in your budget. If you carefully select only the Strip and only 5-Star, you will likely get the Trump.

There is an easy way to eliminate Trump on Priceline 5* search. Select that you require a casino at your resort. The Trump does not have a casino and that property would be excluded.
