Hello....been thru LAS a couple times but cannot recall seeing cell phone shops at the airport. I'm flying in from Tokyo and don't have an American sim for data and calls.....
I don't have plans to rent a car so if there aren't any shops at the airport, will I have any luck finding one on the Strip?
Thanks!

This thread is 2+ years old but you can check it out: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/las-v...l#post20785861
My post within that thread (I believe the LAS T1 Esplanade phone shop is still open, but still don't know if it sells sim cards):
EDIT: The 7-11 at Hawaiian Marketplace appears to have closed sometime last year, according to the Internets.
My post within that thread (I believe the LAS T1 Esplanade phone shop is still open, but still don't know if it sells sim cards):
The only wireless phone "store" I know of at McCarran is pre-security in T1, upstairs on that big "bridge" between the C/D gate security and the check-in area. It's right next to the walkway that goes to the PreCheck/elite/F line for D gates. But they're an independent shop IIRC - and quite small, even calling it a kiosk might be generous - so I don't know if they sell the T-Mobile prepaid sim cards.
Fashion Show Mall (just north of Spring Mountain on the Strip) has a ton of wireless kiosks; you could check if there is a T-Mobile store as well.
You could even try 7-11 as they sell cheap phones with T-Mobile sims in them, and then you can just toss the phone and keep the card. There is a 7-11 at Hawaiian Marketplace just south of Harmon on the Strip. Call first to see what they've got before making your way over, though.

I usually use T-Mobile prepaid, but you can also use AT&T or Straight Talk. There might be others but those are the ones I see regularly in Las Vegas. Straight Talk is a discount flat rate (I think $45 per month for unlimited usage last time I used them). So consider ST for longer trips.

Post #3 is correct. I am out of the USA and can not verify, but CVS or Walgreens on the strip (or anywhere) should have SIM Cards. At LAS airport you may have a problem.
Happy and safe travels.
