Seat Availability Map / Loads
Is there any way to check seat maps on individual KE flights? I mean actual seat availability (like on the United app), as opposed to general stuff like SeatGuru.
Thanks. Never flown KE, and considering it for an LAX-ICN economy itinerary (stopping in NRT).

If you have a skypass number and a ticketed flight you can use the KE website to see the seats and select one.

As a casual KE flyer (2-3 times a year to the US and around Asia), I feel like the rule of thumb should be "expect a full flight." Every time I have called early to book (at the opening day window for my flight), I have always gotten the seat I wanted. Just know that KE keeps the front half of all planes for their Skypass Morning Calm Members and Skyteam Elite/Elite+, so you will end up in the back half otherwise. Exit row? EVERYONE has to get that at check in.
Good luck!

Interesting. Most of the flights I've called about (Korea in winter) seem to be quite open - I wonder if they'll fill up later. I've asked telephone agents about aisle seats with middle seats open next to them - and there are a number of choices. I'm not status on United, so I'd have to pay for an E+ seat - the regular seats on KE seem better, and especially if I can get an aisle with an open seat next to it - nothing like that available at the moment from SFO-ICN on UA.

Thanks. Much appreciated. I think my next flight to Asia will likely be KE. I've done TransPacific on UA, but in biz and first - which is maybe not as amazing as some other carriers, but still great compared to Y products. Have to use miles to get it, though, as no status and hard to justify the expense.

Quite handy when initially scouring for flights. Prices not bad either.
