question about mobile phone rental at AMS
Hi,
I'm getting married in the Netherlands in April and have roughly 25 people flying over from the US. A few people have asked me about renting mobile phones. I have read that you can rent them at the airport, but is this the best place to rent them from? Or do they have other places in the city that rent them for better prices?
Does anyone have a rough guideline of how much these rentals cost?
Thanks for your help!

In Schiphol Plaza there is a mobile phone rental store run by KPN Telecom.

People with a US GSM account on T-mobile, ATTWS or Cingular WITH roaming activated on their accounts can either use their own phone (if they have a tri-band GSM phone) or they can rent a phone at the rentcenter and put their own sim in it.
People without a phone are probably cheaper just buy a prepaid phone in the Netherlands as the rentals are €43 a week.
Orange has the cheapest prepaid phone packs as you can see here:

Thanks Scott. I have a t-mobile tri-band phone, but I figured w/ roaming charges it would end up costing a lot..but it looks like renting + buying prepaid minutes would cost more in the long run.
Thanks again!
