FD has improved

The KLM FD programme has obviously improved itdself beyond all recognition.

I can get through to speak to people easily.
Its easier to claim an award, now with online booking.

They seem to react quickly to post.

All in all - a major improvement.

Now if they would just change their blasted rules about not changing flights...

Chris: you are right you can get through to someone now - but this could be as so many people have given up on FD they have less to do!!

But I am amazed you really think things have improved, I am still awaiting to replies to correspondence which is over two months old; they stil haven't sorted out my account probles and don't seem to have any interest in doing so and e-mails are still answered weeks later with stock replys.

My RoyalWing status expires in August and I am making no effort to renew it - but as I have given up on the airline the status is pretty useless anyway.

Infact I have instructed AMEX who now run our travel implant that as much as possible should be transferred from KLM to Sabena.

Nick

Nick

I am not the worlds biggest fan of KLM fd, and they have done plenty wrong.

But I do think FD is getting it's act together - I haven't had any of the problems that you have. My snail mail has been acted on very promptly !!

I do have to say that they are not in the same league as some other FFP's

I just read your last sentence....

Oh boy are you in for some fun - I hated Brussels airport the one and only time I used it. From what i have heard they are probably the only Central European airline that manages to screw up more than KLM !

SN has improved markedly in the past few years - largely thanks to SR's management control no doubt. BRU airport is undergoing major renovation. Last time I was there in Feb. '00, I did not think it was that bad at all.

it much smaller and more manageable than schiphol! in other words, no need to walk 20 min and not get anywhere. and also you don't get hung up all the time with agents that won't allow you bring on board a bag that weighs 9 lbs and tell you that it is too heavy!!!

There might be some relative improvements on FD but things are hardly fine.

Just two current examples: I am still experiencing missing transactions on a regular basis. Also, I am still waiting for a statement some 3 1/2 months since my last one, even though RW are meant to receive one every two months.

I'm suffering the missing credits problem too - and despite faxing and mailing the information I've had nothing done by KLM.

I was a few points off requalifying but I won't bother with them one British Midland is in Star Alliance as I shall transfer all my european travel to BM or LH.

Last time I called from the US to the dutch FD helpdesk and started to speak dutch the rep asked me to speak english because she supposedly couldn't speak dutch! Being a dutchman myself you bet I can recognize when someone is speaking school english with a strong dutch accent from a center part of the netherlands!!

FD has a lot of English employees who were transferred across to the Netherlands.

They also have a call centre in the UK, so when you call them you never know what you are going to get !

I have tried ordering vouchers through their website in January, nothing happened. Another problem with their online ordering is that after ordering there is no confirmation ! You have nothing to prove you actually ordered. Anyone else experiencing the same ?
