Ticketing Problems
I was just on the phone to reservations where they let me change my ticket mentioned in another thread, even thought it was a cheap fare, because NW changed the schedule. Anyway, when I asked how long it would take to get the new ticket e-mailed to me, the chap said "Oh I'm not sure, usually 48hrs but more like 4days just now because of London, Ticketing are very busy"
4 Days! It sound like they are rushed off their feet, have AF paid off so many people post merger as to make a crisis difficult to deal with? Are the reservation and ticketing systems of AF/KLM merged yet? I wonder how BA is coping in comparison?

What I was told is this...:
If you book online ticketing is automatic and instant.
If you book by phone, especially if it's a not-so-straightforward case (complicated itinerary, rebooking) then the ticket is done manually and it will take a few days because their resources for manual ticketing are limited.
