New booking engine format

Made a reservation today on KLM.com and it looks like they have "upgraded" the booking engine since yesterday.
Unfortunately it is not much more user friendly, as far as I could see the booking conditions and the vital fare class could not be seen until the final step, there are drop down menus to choose morning or afternoon flights, and the option to upgrade to business class.
But no option to change the class of economy ticket, why can't we have a site like NW where we can choose which class of ticket to search for?
Maybe there are more improvements in the pipeline, I live in hope

A nice touch is that you are now able to see what conditions are connected to which price on the second page (where you pick the dates), just click the little "i" from info next to the prices and you'll see most of the conditions.

If only they showed the amount of miles one would earn on the available classes...
If only they showed the availability of each fare...
If only they showed the fare code!

Too many things to wish for I suppose

Well it is not that much better

.. Have a look at the description of the limited miles earning description ... how when you go to the info option it says

"Most economical KLM fares for travel in Economy Class.
Flying Blue members save 25% of the normal number of Flying Blue Miles on special promotional fares and the lowest Take Off Fare; members save 100% of the Flying Blue Miles on the other fares......"

Save! so why not simply say ..does not earn as many miles ...or we are not give you all the miles ... and this is better ?

Look !!

fb agents have been saying for months ( and fd before ) that the internet booking engine on klm is not transparent or clear about how many miles are earnt by members , this is not a step forward , only a step sideways .... maybe also backwards ....

why are they taking so long about .....

1. telling us about things .

2. doing things ..ie. responding to letters with anything other thank a stock responce letters !!

look I do not want to be negative about this but to be positive, I want to see positive changes !!!

Seems like an incorrect literal translation from Dutch. Probably the Dutch text used the word 'sparen' which has a quite different meaning than 'to save'. E.g. putting money in your savings account would be 'to save money in your savings account'. So it has more to do with accumulating money/miles/KLM houses/... I guess someone simply mis-translated 'sparen' into 'save'.

I also demand to be able to select my seat while buying the ticket!
(This would make most of my klm-phone calls obsolete)

Priced out a EDI-AMS-SEA out of curiosity. It wants 430 but there's a panel underneath the price which says:

Upgrade to business class for only 5,496 and receive these benefits:
* change your ticket free of charge
* cancel at any time

If I'm reading it correctly... The yellow and rather unpleasantly bright green fares are the 25% 'saving' ones.

I am sure stamping your foot and demanding will only make you frustrated!
