Bumped onto Oneworld

I recently got bumped from a LBA flight via AMS to HEL onto a Finnair flight from MAN. The return leg will be with KLM as ticketed. Question is - am I entitled to the missing FD miles and sectors? This will make the difference between retaining PE or dropping to Gold.

If you were 'involuntarily rebooked', you can claim the FD miles. You'll have to send/fax FD the tickets & boarding passes at least three times before they do it, but eventually the miles will be credited.

I was booked C-class ATH-AMS-MAN with KL early this year. Upon check-in I was strangely informed to go to KL ticket desk, whereby due to the late arrival of in-bound a/c I would miss my connection in AMS. As a result I had been rebooked on BA via LHR to MAN.

Superb J class service in a big leather seat on 767 instead of the 737 sardine tin ! & when home posted off tickets & boarding passes to FD explaining miles I had missed due to the rebooking & was credited within 7 days !!!!

By the way only SE at the time..

Don't forget to claim the miles from the airline you were re-booked on to. It works, believe it or not! This is a total win-win situation.

This is indeed an opportunity to double-dip - claim the miles from the airline you were rebooked to AND ask KLM to provide with the mileage you should have earned.
