Unhappy denied boarding

Having been denied boarding at schiphol on the return leg of a flight from BKK, how much compensation should klm be reasonably expected to pay?

EU regulations state compensation should be at least 600 Euros in addition to cost of Hotel, meals, etc. I doubt you will get more than that

Bear in mind that those EU regulations don't go into force until February of next year.

Compensation depends very much on the circumstances of your denied boarding - were you already checked-in or were you on standby? Had you (almost) mis-connected? Were you bumped off voluntarily or in-voluntarily? By how much was your arrival delayed?

Here is a link to the section of KLM's contract of carriage dealing with denied boarding compensation:LINK
