DPS Transit

Got a bit of a silly one here but I am thinking of doing a few SIN-DPS and DPS-SIN flights back to back. I understand there is a transit option at DPS that allows you to skip immigration but I was wondering if anyone had experience with this. Because of the short layover, KLM does not offer same day SIN-DPS-SIN round trips so my plan was to stack round trips together. As an example:

RT 1 SIN-DPS Aug 20th
RT 2 DPS-SIN Aug 20th
RT 2 SIN-DPS Aug 21st
RT 1 DPS-SIN Aug 21st

Since my "connecting" flight is the same aircraft and on a new PNR will I have any troubles with using the transit option? I *should* have a ground staff escort due to Ultimate status but I want to be positive before booking my silly trip. Thanks in advance!

I don't know what is your passport, but you should worry about visa.

Flew to DPS a few times but unfortunately cannot remember if they separate arriving and departing pax. I do believe so - at least in Jakarta it is like that. Again, in DPS I do not know if they have a connection lane allowing you to stay airside for transfers, but in Jakarta going from a national to international flight I was channelled through the main check-in hall, so this suggests they may not have it in DPS either.

In that case indeed you would have the whole shebang of passing immigration into Indonesia and back, and security. If you have an e-visa on arrival (Europeans pay some 20-30 Euro for that) and have a passport of one of the many eligible countries they have e-gates though that work quick. If the plane is only 1.5 hours on the ground or so things will be tight though. And do not forget you need to fill in an electronic declaration for the luggage you bring in, which gives you a QR code - that check is a breeze if you have it, but otherwise you lose another 5-10 minutes typing on your mobile if you have internet, or waiting to use the few computers they may have put in place.

Edit: XP run, I presume?

Just to clarify my previous post.
KL might check that you are eligible for a VOA which requires on onward ticket. Or you apply for an e-Visa.
If KL check your return ticket to board at SIN, That is fine for RT 1. But they might object when you board at SIN for RT 2, as they refuse to sell the same-day return ticket.
All this seems a bit dependant on being sure to be able to OLCI and get the KL e-BP from DPS.
If you don't get it, you will have to go through immigration at DPS and, even without checked bags, the 1h10 turnaround is too short for that.

PS: I have no experience in such transit at DPS, just normal arrival and departure, and it can be quite slow.

Thanks all, I also reached out to the Ultimate assistant and they contacted the station manager for me. I learned quite a bit so I'll share it here in case others have the same (or similar) question. There is a transit option but:

Arriving from international flight and have onward connecting on the same day to a 3rd country (international flight) with both full service airlines = Transit (even if pax holds separate tickets)
Arriving from International flight and have onward connection on same day to domestic destination = Not applicable for transit
Arriving from international flight and have return flight on the same day = not applicable for transit
Arriving from international full service flight and have onward connection on the same day to 3rd country (international ) with Low cost carrier VV = not applicable for transitTherefore if Pax :

arriving by KL835 SIN DPS and on the same day have KL836 DPS SIN on separate tickets = is not eligible for transit, pax need to CIQ in DPS
Arriving by KL835 SIN DPS and on the same day have connection with QF DPSSYD (for example on full service carrier) = eligible for transit even if on separate ticket.
Arriving by KL835 SIN DPS And on the same day have connection with LION Air DPSMEL (for example on low cost carrier) = not eligible for transit, pax need CIQ in DPS
Arriving by KL835 SIN DPS and on the same day have domestic connection = not eligible for transit.
However, they did inform me that with the new eGates if I got a multi entry D type visa or E-VOA, I wouldnt have to queue for immigration. I believe that is the solution and at around $90, far more cost effective than the VOA 15 times Since I will be doing this back to back, I should also know the day before if there are any issues with my next day's boarding pass thanks to the 30 hour checkin window. Is it ridiculous, obviously... but is it doable, I think it just might be

Wow what a set of rules. If you connect international->domestic, logical you have to pass immigration (the domestic terminal is even a different building). Wonder how they check for international transfers the difference between returning or going to a 3rd country (low cost - that can be seen by the BP but strange they have this difference). Thanks for sharing. And good luck for having it working out. As said, an E-VOA for Europeans (and I guess anyone eligible) is <30 Euro now, so if you only do this for 2 entries cheaper than that D-visa.

It makes a little bit of sense though, because going back to where you came from is not, in fact, transiting. It is arriving and returning. Even if that seems to only be a semantic difference.

Even using the e-gates having only ~1 hour to go through everything is very risky IMHO, it's a pretty long walk with multiple queues (customs, security) which could take some time.

You did it or you are going to do it? Clearly mileage run trick? Not the cheapest I guess.....Why not spent a few weekends in Bali in this way?

I am going to do it. It is 100% a mileage run but I will have to wait to explain my genius after it is over.

Why don't you just stay a night in DPS. There are a lot of cheap hotel nearby hotel or even stay at Novotel airport.

Agree. Spending a night in Bali is no punishment if you chose your location carefully. And you can reach a lot of nice hotels in 10-15 min by cab or motorcycle from the airport.
