Due to this late departure, will KLM offer a modified dinner service (e.g. like AF on their DXB-CDG flight) or is service done normally? Just so I know if we should eat a bit more in the lounge.

Many thanks in advance!
Did the flight a month ago. Regular expedited meal service (appetizer and main course served together). All in all felt very rushed.

KL611 to Chicago. Was happy with my meal options and had a great crew on my aisle. My theory of them keeping it simple seems to proof that food can be good without them trying to be foodies.

Pre arrival meal went for the Thai Red Curry

Tea

Dessert - caramelised apple

Tomstoe soup..surprisingly tasty

Rijsttafel tasty and right portion

Appetitive

First time flying KLM SFO-AMS. Can you preorder meals for flights that are not out of AMS? I'm not seeing that option in the app....

Just to clarify one more round: is this the meal in J? It is what popped up on my itinerary. It isn't clear if it is a pre-order option (in case I have a hankering
for sweet potato tartlet) or if this is the full range of J dining options. TY

If I understand your question correctly: these are the 3 pre-order options to choose from as main course. The full (for what it's worth...) menu is starter or soup, small salad, main course and cheese or sweet dessert.

Pre-order is only ex-AMS.

Longer day flights also have a pre-arrival meal, night flights a breakfast.

Sorry, I was not clear and didn't properly attach the original post. My question was whether the choices on board for the mains are the same as these three listed
above or if, perhaps, these were special options but onboard mains were different. On a few US carriers on domestic flights there are choices that can be
preordered but are not available on the flight (not meaning special dietary oriented dishes.) From your response, it looks like I had better pre-order one of these.
Thank you.

Some news from the.competition as I have flown with 1W for the first time in decades.

Here are Iberia short haul meals. Quiz time: They have ONE thing in common with KLM meals. Can you guess what?

Hake fish dish

Veg dish: Artichoke ravioli

They’re both served on a plane?

But seriously, I’m stumped. IB Express has wooden cutlery like KLM, but can’t quite tell if you’re on mainline there, where proper cutlery is provided.

It was metal cutlery indeed, so not that.

(And at both of them being served on a plane. Technically correct, but the answer here is actually quite specific, believe it or not!)

Peper & salt is upon request and they gave you the paper sheets.....?
At least no more red cloggs with pepper and salt unfortunately....

If it is that desserts on both Iberia & KLM are both Do&Co?,
i need to get my taste bulbs checked and re-examined...

I wish KL desserts were Do and Co, because that was absolutely delish.

Sadly dont think that is the case, but there is one thing on the tray that is the exact same.

Either the salad with a single olive or the same wine glass?
