klm seating selection not possible?
i bought a ticket using expedia. I went on the klm website to manage my booking with the code that i was given by expedia. That worked fine and i could see my flight times, ticket number, baggage allowances and seats. I wanted to change my seat so i selected change seat. I am travelling with another person so i put us near a window seat together. Well i successfully changed my seat but when i tried to change his it said 'sorry the selected seat is no longer available So i decided to select another seat for both of us. I tried everywhere and all it said was 'Sorry the selected seat is no longer availabe'
I eventually just chose a seat and left it there. But thats not my biggest problem. After i left 'Manage my Booking' i decided to go in just to see it again and this time it says that
'We are sorry but due to a technical error we cannot show your booking details. Please try again later or contact KLM'
... is happening!!!! I didnt do anything and now its malfunctioning!!!
Please help!!
By the way I can still access my itinerary through expedia but not through klm

I don't know what went wrong with the seat selection for your friend, seeing as you were able to change your own seat, but it just seems like the website is having issues. Try again later, or try accessing your reservation via the "Manage Your Reservations" facility on the Air France website.
If you can see your reservation on Expedia, or via Air France, or via Check My Trip then there is no need for alarm.

Welcome to FlyerTalk, Peacefultourist118.
What is the operating airline for your flights? I've had a similar problem with seat selection for KQ-operated flights on MMB on klm.com in the past.
I'd agree with the advice to try www.airfrance.com instead. (I've just had a different problem, again with KQ bookings, where MMB on www.klm.com refused to show the seat-map at all, but seat selection worked fine on www.airfrance.com).
