KL website trouble.

Booked Wednesday a flight, got confirmation, all is good. But... Since Wednesday I can not change my seats. When I log in, I see my flight, click onto it, see my flight, etc. etc. But when I want to change my seat I get a 'blue field' showing me no seating plan. It is a pity you can not attach pics otherwise I would have done so as well to illustrate. I tried two different browsers (safari and firefox, both latest versions). This has been going on for days now. Anybody else this is issue?

Is it an intercontinental flight? If so, try the AirFrance website. It usually works if KLM.com is down or the other way around.

BTW you can add pics here on FT

Yes, international. Now this is a miles ticket, could that be the reason? On AF site I could see the seat-plan (thanks for tip!) but it shows on all flights that there are no other options. I understand that I could upload pics via a 'Flickr' but that is not what I meant ;-)

For KL operated flights it is only possible to select your seats from 90 days prior to departure. Does your flight happen to leave more than 90 days from now?

nope, flying wednesday, the 6th of june. really strange because it feels as if i am the only one experiencing this. there are four flights, on none i can change a seat. last one is over a month from today.

If you per se want to have a specific seat assigned to you, you might try calling KLM CS.

BTW. Would you mind sharing the specific route?

i just called and asked if it could be 'ticket/reservation specific'. the answer was no as he, the agent, was able to change my seats which he did. still very strange. route is africa, to europe, to us. he did say that the kl website is only internet explorer tested.. but it hs always worked fine. curious if my ip address is causing this..
