I haven't figured out these abbreviations but I assume it is the Atlanta. It is indeed updated. However, I sat on a first row seat in EC, which all (and probably exit rows in economy) have a drawback. Because these seats have the tables in the armrest, they designed the video controller is such a way it is sticking out , which gives you at least 3-4 cm less width. Not so good when you do not have a small behind Not sure why they could not design it the same way as done for the other planes. Anyway, the screen quality was better and it is nice to select your own movies etc on these long flights to Asia.

Just flew KLM AMS-YYZ last week. No PTV - in Economy comfort. And I could even barely see the overhead tv from my seat (12A). Miserable experience.
I am planning a trip to Delhi at the end of this year - and would really rather book another flight (e.g. with Jet Airways from Brussels - also significantly cheaper) than not having the video choices. Does anybody know the deal with that flight?
And also - couldn't we find out KLM's concrete plans for retrofitting these 747s? Surely they must have a schedule...
-Stephan
BTW - http://www.airfleets.net/flightlog/?file=result&opp=KLM has an overview of which KLM aircrafts have been flying which routes recently.

Do you have a registration or aircraft name?
Then we can update the list again.
KL's schedule is that all are to be completed before the end of the year.
So that's about 1.5 aircraft per month I guess.

My equipment was again switched up at the last moment and I flew YYZ-AMS a week ago Friday on PH-BFN. Very nice new interior with excellent PTV. The only problem was the PTV electronics froze about 2 hours into the flight and they had to be reset for everyone...a process which took approximately 45 minutes.

So the next time somebody has some time left over at AMS, why not stroll past gates with arriving 747's and check up? :P Might be the fastest way to get things clear
Too bad 747's rarely appear at the Shengen pier, otherwise I'd have tried this weekend.
