Seat Assignments Changed??
Last night I flew with a friend from MCO to JFK.
I was originally in 3D and my friend had 3F at the time we booked our tickets (separate reservations).
When we checked in, we were assigned 1F and 6D. The agent did not know why our seats were switched and we could not move b/c the flight was 100% full.
Does anyone know why they would change our seat assignments like that? There were 3 old ladies sitting in row 3 in our original seats. The lady in 3D did need Wheel Chair assistance but why couldn't they have given her 1F or 6D??

A GA saw three together and a pair of unconnected so they moved you aisle for aisle and window for window (and probably middle for middle for 3E) and then put the three together. If you weren't actually travelling together - which is the case for most people on different PNRs - then you probably wouldn't have cared at all, except for the EML seats that include row 3 now.
Or they bought 3 EML seats and you got moved to accomodate since you didn't.
That's my guess.

Just a quick note: If you ever travel with a companion on a different PNR/confirmation number, just call 1800JETBLUE and have the agent make a note "linking" the two reservations. For any number of reasons, I've had to do this and it works wonders in cases like the one mentioned in the OP.

The EML purchases just started. If you booked your seats when you made the reservation it is likely your seat assignments where removed when the EML kicked in because you didn't purchase the EML product. I appologise for the mess up. What likely happened what your assignments where removed when the EML kicked in, the older ladies where assigned your seats when they checked in, and you where assigned seats in the EML section because those where the only seats available.
