First Flight to PIT
Hi All,
I will be flying out on the first flight to PIT this friday and I was wondering if Jetblue does anything for a inaugural flight on a route.
Thanks

The flights that day are all sold out, along with many other cities due to the holiday.
Hope you enjoy the flights...let us here on FT know how they go!

Ok folks, Time for the trip report.
Flight left from Gate 17 over at JFK. The aircraft used today was E190 "Blue Getaways" There was zero fanfare at the gate with no mention of it by the ground crew. Once on board, the flight attendant mentioned this was the inaugural flight and how all at Jetblue were excited. Before the cockpit door was closed, the captain came out to announce this is the first flight to PIT and started to wave his "terrible towel" saying "I'm sure a lot of you recognize this thing".
The flight was uneventful and as always wonderful quick beverage service.
Upon landing we had a fairly long taxi for PIT and pulled up to the gate to the sight of 20 or so Jetblue employees waving terrible towels and the expected water salute. Once the door opened we were all greeted by David Neelman on the PA of the plane welcoming us (he was not on the plane), and departing through the jetway, you had to huge ovation from jetblue employees in a jetway with a Steelers Color Scheme.
Once inside the terminal the media bombarded us to get an interview and there was food and a steel drum band for the welcome. Once everyone was off they had a 10 min news conf. with 2 county officials and David Neelman speaking and it ended with the unveiling of the destination poster.
All in all it was a fun joyous welcome that I can promise I will never recieve in PIT again.

Additional report
Well here is just my additional comment...
Pittsburgh is great, but no souvenir this time... not even the destination poster. Very disappointed, but other than that, it is a good flight. Flights went out 100% full on both inaugural flights. Great start!

PS. No Jetblue's inaugural flights for a while... my next one will be in September Sarasota and/or Tucson
